DympnaECKERSLEYI would like to pay tribute to the following wonderful people who went beyond the call of duty last week when my mother, Dympna Eckersley passed away. Firstly thanks go to the staff on Ward 15a at Southport Hospital and secondly to the Transform Team. When mum died I was shown extreme kindness and courtesy by Mike Rushton and his team, Southport registrars who made everything very straightforward at a difficult time and also Dave Clark at Shelbourne Apartments. My profound gratitude also goes to the staff at Connell Court Care Home in Weld Road who really put the care into caring and who coordinated everything with compassion and efficiency and to Fr. Atli Jonsson for a most beautiful service in challenging times. My brother and I thank you all most sincerely, Kathryn Burke and Philip Eckersley.
